Louise McLoughlin is an Emmy-nominated news and documentary journalist. She has worked for several major news outlets, including CNN, ITN, NBC, VICE, and Reuters and has bylines and appearances for The Irish Times, The Irish Independent, ABC, ITV, RTE, BBC, CBS, Ireland AM, Grazia, Huffington Post et al.

 

Her internationally chart-topping podcast 'You Look Like Me' investigates the personal and ethical complexities of donor conception. The series dissects secrecy, genetics, and identity through investigative journalism and lived experience. You Look Like Me was named a top podcast by The Guardian in both 2021 and 2026, and by Time Out in both 2023 and 2024.

 

Louise also presented a BBC documentary on the same topic, and led a Channel 4 News investigation into donor conceived people receiving incorrect genetic information from the UK fertility regulator. She is a prominent media voice in the donor-conceived community.
